You can find love in the most unexpected places and situations. That�s what happens to Kabir when he takes up the job to teach at a remote house-boat school in Kashmir. He discovers a notebook that the previous teacher, Firdous used as her diary and he falls in love with her emotions and passions. Featuring a truly innovative concept, Notebook is a film for die-hard romantics. But even devout fans of the genre will agree that the film doesn�t really do enough with its basic premise. The one-line narrative is interesting, but the screenplay fails to do anything more.

Kabir Kaul, a young retired army officer, decides to teach in his late father�s school, the Wular Public School as the school will be closed if there is no teacher to teach. At the school, he finds a diary left behind in the desk drawer by the previous teacher, Firdaus. Children start coming to school after learning that a new teacher has arrived. However, they disobey Kabir, leading him to think that he cannot teach, but after reading Firdaus�s diary, he gains confidence and decides to try.

Kabir experiences a breakup with his girlfriend, who is having an affair and believes that Kabir is now unfit to marry her as he has left the army. He is heartbroken but takes solace in the schoolchildren and Firdaus�s diary, writing comments in it. He learns about Imran, one of the schoolchildren, whose father, Yakub, wants him to help in the household rather than attending school. Using help from the diary, Kabir succeeds in bringing Imran back to school. He decides to burn Firdaus�s diary after learning she is getting married.

Movie Review

Meet Kabir Singh � the kind of boyfriend, who is aggressive, obsessive and would go to any extreme for his girl. He is all in or nothing at all. As a senior and a topper in one of Delhi�s most reputed medical institutes, he wields immense power. Thanks to his lethal anger issues, there are few who would want to mess with him. By his own admission, he becomes a rebel with a cause as soon as he sees his junior in college Preeti (Kiara Advani). For him, it is love at first sight. But this is far from a meet cute romance, with mush gush and the regular romantic toppings. It immediately gives Kabir�s unsettled and self-destructive streak a reason to manifest. Thus, begins the real journey of his character into the deep dark abyss of chasing the love of his life. Shahid�s performance lets the character get away with a lot of vices like womanizing, drug addiction, alcoholism and brash male toxicity. For some, his actions and recklessness might seem problematic, but that is evidently his character sketch, and Shahid plays it with brutal honesty. Shahid Kapoor completely surrenders himself to the extremism of Kabir Singh. The powerhouse performer plays each and every shade of Kabir with such passion and perfection that his conviction makes you root for him, even when he is far stretched from being the picture perfect lover boy.It is only because of Shahid�s strong performance that many of his characters� excesses seem justified. His character is deeply misogynistic, abusive, reeks of misplaced sense of male entitlement - exactly the kind of man that our society reeling under patriarchy and sexist stereotypes need to call out. His psyche and behaviour are dominated by his irrepressible anger and desperate need to be in charge of the women he is obsessively in love with.

In terms of screen space, no one comes close to the leading man. For most part, film�s leading lady Kiara remains demure and is left to use silence as her only tool for performance. With such limited scope, she never really gets a chance to shine. Shahid�s trusted friend Shiva (Soham Majumdar), on the other hand, gets ample opportunity to show solid support even when his friend is way out of line.

Movie Review

Stephen King's sweeping sci-fi-fantasy-Western-horror epic, The Dark Tower, is full of cool lines, memorable characters and film-friendly imagery, but low on film-friendly brevity. Hollywood has been tinkering with the eight-book series for a decade and has here distilled elements of several of the books into one brief and � for some reason � PG package. The result has more of a whiff of Neverending Story than one would expect from King's books, and less of the (literal and figurative) weight you'd expect.

Movie Review

There�s a threat to humanity once again and in order to survive, a bunch of scientists come to a rather preposterous solution. Instead of wiping out the mammoth monsters who can cause human extinction, they hope to coexist with them by reawakening their king � the mighty Godzilla. Only he can restore the nature�s balance by destroying the bad monsters, especially the invincible three-headed Ghidorah aka Monster Zero.

Review: Most Hollywood visual extravaganzas, be it disaster epics or superhero fantasies, thrive on the same theme � a few sacrificing people struggling to save the world against all odds. Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters is no different. It reproduces the same survival logic that (Marvel�s villain) Thanos endorses. Destroy half of earth�s population for a better tomorrow. They try to achieve this by unleashing various gigantic radioactive monsters. Apparently they deserve to rule the world as they came here first.

Even if you choose to overlook the script that�s littered with daftness, the predictability is hard to ignore. A loud background score doesn�t hold attention. It only screams for attention and that makes the film even more difficult to digest. The reverence for Japanese monsters, especially the atomic lizard as if it were a pet and will do what is expected out of him is hard to buy.

The only aspect that goes in the film�s favour and keeps you awake is the epic scale fights between the good and the bad monsters. The dysfunctional family subplot, uncalled for sacrifices hold no relevance in the bigger scheme of things.

If you get a kick out of watching disaster movies involving massive creatures, you can watch this one while munching on some popcorn. Despite the plot�s blatant stupidity, the visuals showcasing destruction of epic proportion and the terrifying arrival of King Godzilla offer some solid jump scares.

Overall, this clash of the titans tale is forgettable and cliched. Every time any character harps on �symbiotic relationship between monsters or restoring the nature�s balance and human-monster coexistence�, you want Godzilla to fart on them so that they stop talking.

Movie Review

Ok starting first with...I thought it was a great Movie. My only complaint that it could have been broke maybe into a 3 movie series. Lots potential for a very good saga. As for the criticism of the Cities on wheels by others. I say this, is a light saber possible, is the death star possible, can a hammer really make a guy fly, does radiation really make incredible Hulks, Is Iron Man Real, Does Luke really control the force, is the ring in Lord of the rings real, I think not. So as far as the Fantasy part goes I think folks are way over analyzing the movie....IT IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE REAL FOLKS ITS A MOVIE. I don't see anyone slamming the Millinieum Falcon(Totally not Possible because it's a STORY PEOPLE RELAX) I give Movie 4 out of 5. Not 5 because the plot could have been managed a little better. Everything else is just over criticism. It will be back. Just like Willy Wonka

Movie Review

So amazing and intense!!! The best Spider-Man movie yet!!! It's a big improvement over Homecoming. We start to see how he was more of a friendly neighborhood Spider-man and doing the right thing of helping others. Then he wanted to do more than that and was willing to risk his life of saving his friends, even the ones he loves. And he is slowly starting to become a young man and being responsible and be something bigger and better as his character and personality grows by becoming an Avenger for a reason. It shows how much a long way we've come from all of these Marvel movies in the past and to finally conclude Phase 3 leaving you feeling satisfied and blown away with this epic sequel. Can't wait for Phase 4 to start in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!! Must be in the plans of filming them some time soon. And wow I loved it so much!!! The cast did outstanding in their roles. And especially seeing Jake Gyllenhaal in a Marvel movie was so unexpected. I love how they're always bringing in new actors that haven't been in the franchise before in the past to now get recognized and play a bigger role than the casual movies they come out in. Jake's acting was incredibly convincing and superb. It makes the experience a whole lot better. The chemistry was so clever, wit, original, and surprisingly unpredictable. I'll admit it had me laughing in a lot of moments that was too funny I didn't think it would be that good with the humor and it catches you off guard. Great job with the humor they did. They got me real good. I also love the unexpected cameos and revisits of older characters we've seen in the past. It's like they had everything planned out from the very beginning and they knew we would see them again in the future. Marvelous. Truly marvelous. Amazing movie!!!

Movie Review

We all have been fan of Jackie Chan from decades, and I believe this might be the first big sci-fi movie in his life, a 64 yrs old action master  Jackie Chan and whole team really took lots of effort to make this movie. 

"OK" script, very good actors, very good VFX, although good story but not up to the mark.

I missed some comedy twists in his actions which you might seen in his most of movies, this story plays around the girls who is daughter of jackie chan in movie but I don't know why story writer didn't give her task at this point he could have created little myth and twists. 

By the way I think it's good average movie doesn't disappoint you with JC's actions and sci-fi scenes. It looks like they will make second part of it.
